The 9488 Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droids Battle Pack is a Lego set featuring the clone commander and his team of droids. It has 854 pieces and was released on January 1, 2012. It has a number of different minifigures including ARC troopers, ARF troops, and two commando droids.

Rex is a clone commander in the Grand Army of the Republic and commands Torrent Company of the 501st Legion. He wears the standard clone uniform, with printing on his legs and torso, and has a white helmet with blue stripes above the visor and a top stripe that runs vertically down the faceplate. The helmet also has tally marks on the side. This is the second version of this clone trooper helmet design.

Clone Captain

Whether you are a fan of the animated series Star Wars Rebels or a long-time fan of the original trilogy, Captain Rex and his clone soldiers will be familiar to you. CT-7567, or Rex as he is often called, commanded a company of clone troops in the 501st Legion under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. He wore blue armor and typically fought with two DC-17 hand blasters. He also carried a kama, pauldron, and rangefinder.

This set depicts Rex in the Phase I clone armor he wore in seasons one through three of The Clone Wars and in the movie. It has the standard torso printing for a clone trooper but with the addition of grime prints and a round pauldron with several dots printed inside. The headpiece is unique, with printing for a five-o’clock shadow and scars on the face, downturned black eyebrows, and a mouth outlined in black and filled in white depicting gritted teeth.

ARC Trooper

Introduced to the world in The Clone Wars and later appearing in Star Wars Rebels, Captain Rex is an instantly recognizable figure. While Lego’s take on the character shares some similarities with other clone trooper helmets, it still manages to stand out thanks to the color blue.

Rex was in command of Torrent Company, a unit within the 501st Legion, throughout the Clone Wars. He worked closely with Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano.

This set depicts Rex in his Phase II clone armor, as seen on the TV series and movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. He’s also equipped with a Kama skirt, short twin blasters, and a dark red pauldron with Jaig eyes. The box includes a three-quarter front view of the finished helmet along with 2 images from the animated show and movie for each character. It also features numbered bags for the assembly process, an instruction booklet, and a small sticker sheet.

The first set to be released tied into Season 3 of the series, this is another great affordable way for fans to get into Mando’s world. The set also pairs nicely with 75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter.

The visor is different enough from the Stormtrooper version that this should be easy for most fans to distinguish, and it packs in some extra blue which sets it apart from its cousins. It’s also very light and airy, making it comfortable to wear in the heat of battle.

This helmet features a total of 854 pieces, which is quite a high number for this type of LEGO set. However, it still manages to keep the price down by using stickers rather than printed pieces.

This is a BrickHeadz set, which means it’s much blockier than traditional LEGO sets. It makes a good present for younger kids or adults who don’t have the time to tackle something more complex. The Mandolorian and Child both have their signature weapons (rifle clipped to the back and pistol in hand) while Baby Yoda includes “adjustable ears for different expressions.” The figures also sit on transparent elements, which helps with display.
